May Climate Cafe by Climate Cafe South Brooklyn
Join Climate Cafe South Brooklyn for our May Climate Cafe in partnership with Force of Nature on Sunday, May 31st from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Salt Marsh Nature Center.
Climate Cafes are lightly facilitated community spaces where people can come together to reflect on climate emotions, share thoughts, and connect with others in a supportive, non-debate environment. Whether you feel concern, grief, hope, uncertainty, frustration, or curiosity about climate change, this is a space to talk, listen, and be in community.
After the Climate Cafe, guests are invited to stay from 2:00 - 3:00 PM for a short poetry workshop and singing activity led by local artists based in Marine Park. This creative session will give participants a chance to explore climate emotions through poetry, music, reflection, and shared expression. No poetry or singing experience is needed, just come as you are.
Free and open to all ages for southern Brooklyn residents and beyond. Free hot coffee and tea from Marine Park Coffee will be available, with priority given to those who RSVP.
RSVP via email or through the Climate Cafe NYC Luma calendar.
