Step into the world of documentary style storytelling at Bonton Farms in Dallas, TX.
Participants will film an apprentice at Bonton Farms, capturing the farm’s history and mission through authentic storytelling. Instructor Danny Batista will share techniques for smooth camera movement, working with natural light, and achieving a polished, cinematic look.
Designed for creators of all skill levels, this immersive session will cover the fundamentals of cinematic video production, from camera settings and frame rates to composition, movement, and directing subjects.
Participants will also have the opportunity to shoot with Nikon’s latest video-focused cameras, including the ZR, Z6III, and Z8, gaining hands-on experience with tools designed for modern filmmakers and creators.
Hoping to keep your footage? We will provide a CF express card for each guest to use for file storage during their session. CF express cards provided by us may not be taken home.
All guest footage will be uploaded to Luma and available for download 5 days after each session.
If you would like access to your footage sooner, please bring your own CF express card for file storage.
Please note: Camera bodies and lenses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Will I be able to use a ZR, Z6III, and Z8 even if I don't own one?
Yes! We will have a camera available for loaning for up to 35 attendees, free of charge.
What will I need in order to participate?
Bring a valid ID. If you would like to take your footage home directly after your session bring a CF express card or microSD for file storage.
Can I use a Sony or Canon lens on the ZR body?
Yes, Sony and Canon lenses my be used with the ZR body. Only a limited number of adapters will be available.
Can I bring my own camera bag/backpack?
For security reasons, all bags larger than a small purse/fanny pack will need to be checked in at registration. They will be returned to you at the end of the event. If you would like to hold onto your bag, please bring a clear backpack or fanny pack.
