Tana Systems Lab: Workflow Mapping
Thus far we’ve looked at using MCP to help design your Tana system; capture, route, & review the information that flows through it; and manage the subsequent agent threads and local files. But as our systems evolve and grow more complex, we need a way to maintain an understanding (at least at a birds-eye view) what our workflows are actually doing.
So in this next session, we’ll demonstrate methods for visualizing your Tana agent workflows with Mermaid diagrams, HTML, and Object-Process Methodology (OPM, an ISO-standard minimum-viable ontology)
The goal is not to make a perfect diagram. The goal is to understand a system clearly enough that you (and your agent) can explain it, improve it, and automate it.
We’ll look at:
Why complex Tana workflows benefit from mapping
The basics of modeling with OPM
Demonstrations of how these diagrams can help you fill in the gaps in your Tana system
