Some stories are shared easily; others remain tucked away, waiting for a space where they can be heard without judgement.
Through When I Met Myself, First Drop Theatre invites you to pause and reflect on your own journey with mental health and well-being. Come share a moment when you felt lost or found, a time when you surprised yourself, an experience that changed how you see yourself, or simply a moment when you felt seen, heard, or understood.
Our actors will listen to your stories and bring them to life, on-the-spot!
What is a Playback Theatre - Magical, creative, thought-provoking, reflective, unscripted...just like life itself. A format of improvisational, interactive theatre where the actors use their creativity and skill, to present an engaging and sensitive retelling of the audience members` story, on-the-spot in an authentic and respectful manner, using text, poetry, movement, metaphors, music and more!
Facilitators :
Dr. Radhika Jain - co-founder and Artistic Director, First Drop Theatre: A Certified Psychodrama Director, Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer from Centre for Playback Theatre, U.S.A., Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner, and faculty for Playback Theatre at the Applied Theatre India Foundation and at Azim Premji University and a practising Psychotherapist. Radhika is trained in multiple formats of interactive theatre. Prior to her entrepreneurial journey in Applied Theatre, Radhika had a background in academics (with a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Germany) and in the corporate world (in the field of Consulting and Market Research).
