About Event

Your pitch makes sense to you. The question is whether it makes sense to an investor.

In this session, we'll run the 10 most expensive narrative mistakes founders make in their pitch deck, diagnosed against a live VC rubric built from real investor signal. You'll see exactly where decks lose the room and leave with one concrete fix you can make before your next meeting.

This session includes access to a free Narrative Diagnostic assessment.

Lianne Stewart is the founder of The Narrative Office, a narrative strategy consultancy working with enterprise CMOs and early-stage founders building capital narratives. She spent over a decade at Meta, where she built the North American Thought Leadership function and held NDA access during the Facebook-to-Meta rebrand. Her clients include Amazon Ads, Pinterest, Dolby, and Shopify. She works with founders at the pre-seed and seed stage on the one thing that stalls raises before they start: a narrative the room can't retell.

Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next. From May 25–29, 2026, founders, investors, and builders come together for hundreds of community-led events across Toronto, connecting tens of thousands of people around Canadian tech. Torontotechweek.com.
