Maze dimensions:

Entire maze dimension is : 120 cm × 150 cm.

Each block of the maze is : 30 sq. Cm

The height of wall is :20 cm ± 2 cm.

Maze layout :

Competition Rules:

#Maximum of 2 students per team

# The coordinator's decision will be final .

# in case of any kind of misbehavior by the team will lead to disqualification of the team .

 # reentry is permitted only once after payment of 90/- Rs


1. Robot Specifications:

  • The robot should not be readymade

   - Robots must fit within a 20 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm cube before starting the competition.

   - Any type of wheels or tracks can be used for locomotion.

   - Sensors (ultrasonic, infrared, etc.) are allowed for obstacle detection.


2. Obstacle Avoidance:

   - The robot must autonomously navigate through the maze and avoid hitting the wall/obstacle .

   - Robots must not physically damage or move obstacles within the maze.

   ( if the robot hits the wall from the front +5 seconds will be added to the total time)


3. Timing:

   - The competition consists of  2 rounds, each with the same maze layout.

  • Time in Best of two rounds will be considered.

   - The timer will start when your robot crosses the starting line and stops when it successfully reaches the designated endpoint.

   - If the robot gets stuck or does not make progress for more than 3 minutes, the run will be considered unsuccessful, and the robot will be removed from the maze.

    -( +10 seconds)  will be added to the total time on touching the robot/changing the direction of the robot by touch


4. Scoring:

   - Points will be awarded based on the completion time.

   - ( 10 seconds will be deducted from the total time on successful completion of each checkpoint)

     

5. Competition Rounds:

   - Each participant will have a chance to run their robot in both   rounds.

   - The robot with the shortest time after both the two rounds will be declared the winner.


6. Safety:

   - Robots must include an easily accessible emergency stop mechanism to halt the robot in case of malfunctions.

   - Participants are responsible for the safety of their robots and must ensure that they do not pose any harm .


Detailed Instructions:


1. Registration and Setup:

   - Register your team and robot at the registration desk.

   - Ensure that your robot meets the size and safety requirements.

   - Place your robot at the designated starting area before your round begins.


2. Competition Start:

   - Listen for announcements to know when your round is about to start.

   - When called, place your robot at the starting line, ensuring it faces the correct direction.


3. Maze Navigation:

   - The maze layout will be shared on the day of the competition.

   - Study the maze layout to plan your robot's path.

   - Once the round begins, activate your robot, and it should autonomously navigate the maze to reach the endpoint.


5. Scoring and Feedback:

   - After each round, you will be informed of your robot's time.

   - Pay attention to feedback and adjust your robot's strategy for the next round.



6. Final Rounds and Winner Announcement:

    - The robot with the shortest time after both the two rounds will be declared the winner.

   - In case of a tie ,tie up round will be held on the maze and shortest time recorded there will be declared the winner.

   - The winners will be announced and awarded prizes and certificates during the awards ceremony time and venue will be informed later
