In collaboration with Majal Design School and Sage Archives, the Luminous Threads exhibition explores the endangered art of Tarq embroidery, a once-flourishing craft tradition from Baalbek known for its intricate use of gold and silver thread.
The exhibition will open at Beit Kanz, with the curators and researchers present to share the history, cultural significance, and research behind Tarq embroidery, offering deeper insight into the craft, the artisans who preserve it, and the importance of keeping this heritage alive.
The exhibition will remain open to the general public throughout Creative Dialogues Beirut ’26, from 10–11 October.
