BCG Sustainability Day: Circularity Insights - Building Resilience and Competitive Advantage
Session 1 of 3 at the BCG Sustainability Day:
Circularity is now a strategic necessity - a lever for resilience and growth. This morning brings together BCG's leading circularity experts, industry pioneers and NGO partners to explore what that shift means in practice, from macro-economic potential down to individual product design.
10:15–11:00 — BDI x BCG Circularity Study: Growth, Competitiveness, and Resilience
BCG's Patrick Herhold (Global Topic Leader, Decarbonization) and Alexander Meyer zum Felde (Global Circularity Leader) are joined by Dr. Claas Oehlmann (BDI Circular Economy) to present the economic case for circularity in Germany - where the value is, and how to capture it.
11:00–11:30 — Case Study: Train2Train, with Siemens
A hands-on look at circularity in action: Siemens' pilot shows what it takes to close the loop on metals - where a train's end of life becomes the starting for the next one.

A panel on the case for circularity in European electronics, looking at resilience, business models and Cradle to Cradle design principles.
