MXT for Researchers
Join us on 15 January for an afternoon that connects research, societal impact with high impact, and real-world application, plus receive an invitation ticket to the MXT Conference.
The event starts with something special: three researchers who are actively building companies will share how they translated their research into societal and entrepreneurial impact.
You’ll hear honest, practical stories from:
Giovanni Maglia (Portal Biotech)
Hedderic van Rhijn (Memory Lab)
Romana Schirhagl (QT Sense)
They’ll talk about the transition from scientific research to real-world relevance: how they identified problems, defined their target groups, and navigated the space between academia and society.
After the talks, you’ll take part in the Launch Game: Researcher Edition. In this interactive session, you’ll work in small teams to explore how research can be shaped into impactful applications. Guided by experts in areas such as innovation, IP, funding, and valorisation, you’ll experiment with framing problems, defining target groups, and translating knowledge into something that works outside academia.
No startup background required.
No pressure to commercialise.
Just space to think, test, and explore impact in a practical way.
