Artist bios:
Grace Leckey is an NYC Queens-based singer-songwriter, audio engineer, and educator who grew up singing hymns and Americana in a Catholic folk choir. Funded by the New York Foundation for the Arts' Queens Arts Fund, her 2025 sophomore album Hell Gate is a tribute to Astoria Queens and her Irish Catholic roots there. She recently completed a residency in Homer, Alaska where she composed and recorded Every Rock Changes - A Song Cycle for the Climate Crisis. Follow her at @leckey_charms.
Soprano Katie Surine has sung a wide range of classical repertoire, from early to contemporary, sacred to secular. Katie is active in the DMV choral scene and has sung with the Dualis Ensemble, LUX Choir, the Washington Master Chorale, and the fully professional choir of Christ Church Georgetown, D.C. She has previously sung with the Choir of St. James Cathedral, Chicago and is an alumna of Notre Dame Vocale.
The Fireplace Community is a cooperatively-governed intentional community. The Fireplace began in 2021. In the years since, it has emerged as a vibrant community space.
