​Nonprofits run lean - small teams, unbounded demand, and no time to figure out which AI tools are hype and which give hours back. On 12th August, Goodera is hosting a hands-on lab during the Basecamp week where nonprofit teams learn to put AI to work on their everyday tasks. We're looking for volunteer technologists to be their mentors for the morning.

​What to expect

​A structured, facilitated working session, not a talk, not a mixer. You'll be paired with 1-2 nonprofit team members (we keep it at 2 mentors per builder-in-training) and coach them through two builds:

• ​Prompt School — hands-on challenges in Claude, built around a simple, durable prompting framework they'll keep using long after the session

• ​Build with AI — guiding them as they build something real for their organisation: a custom AI app, an agent, or a working workflow automation

​One rule the whole session runs on: coach, don't drive. The nonprofit does the typing, the thinking, and the deciding. You ask the right questions and unblock.

​Who it's for

​Builders, operators, and founders who are savvy at putting AI to work across day-to-day tasks; writing, research, analysis, small tools, automations. You don't need to be an ML engineer or have trained a model. If AI tools are part of how you get things done every day, you're who this room needs.

​Spots are limited to keep the mentor-to-attendee ratio right, so registrations are approval-based. We'll confirm your spot by email.

• ​The genuinely great feeling of watching someone open an AI tool for the first time and walk out with something they built themselves

• ​A ground-level view of how Bengaluru's nonprofit sector actually works

• ​A table full of builders and operators who care about pointing the city's AI ambition outward, not just inward
