About Event

The market feels shaky, so you’re that much more on edge about leaving your job. You’re also burned out to the max though and need a break to recharge 😮‍💨 . What are your options when quitting your job feels financially or professionally risky?

In this practical 60 minute workshop, you’ll learn how the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Short-Term Disability can be used to create a job-protected career break when you’re dealing with burnout, stress-related health challenges, or other medical needs.

Executive & Transformation Coach Jelan Agnew (LCSW) who has helped clients successfully navigate this process will walk through:

  • What FMLA and Short-Term Disability actually are

  • What kinds of career breaks are possible using them

  • How to determine if this path may be appropriate for you

  • The step-by-step process for requesting leave

  • Common pitfalls to avoid

You’ll leave with clear next steps and practical guidance on how to execute this option in order to create space to rest, heal, or reset without quitting your job.

Important notes:

  • This workshop is educational and not legal, psychiatric, medical, or financial advice. This workshop is based on options within workplaces in the United States.
