The Meaning Layer: Gamma Workshop
Bring the messy business issue. Leave with a clearer way to see it—and something tangible you can actually use.
Most business problems don’t begin as clean problems.
They show up as scattered notes, conflicting feedback, dashboards that tell only half the story, decisions that keep creating more decisions, or ideas that make perfect sense in your head but refuse to become useful outside of it.
The Meaning Layer is a hands-on working session designed to help you turn that complexity into something you can actually see, understand, and move.
Bring one real issue from your work—a project, process, decision, idea, dataset, strategy, client challenge, or pile of information that currently feels harder to make sense of than it should.
We’ll work through four layers:
SIGNAL
Information → Insight
STRUCTURE
Complexity → Clarity
MEANING
Data → Meaning
MOVEMENT
Meaning → Action
You’ll use a guided framework to surface what matters, then translate that thinking into Gamma so you can begin shaping it into a useful artifact: a presentation, document, webpage, decision brief, visual explanation, or other format suited to what the understanding needs to do next.
This is not a “click here, then click there” software class.
It’s a working session about asking better questions, seeing relationships more clearly, and using Gamma as the environment where your thinking can become visible.
What to bring
Bring:
a laptop
access to Gamma
one real business or work challenge
any notes, data, screenshots, documents, feedback, or source material that might help you think through it
Please avoid bringing confidential client information, sensitive personal data, trade secrets, or anything you would not be comfortable discussing in a small-group setting.
What you’ll leave with
You’ll leave with:
a clearer interpretation of the issue you brought
a practical framework for moving from information to action
a Gamma artifact you can continue refining after the event
your own Meaning Layer Field Deck to use again when the next complicated thing lands on your desk
And because thinking is better with a little hospitality:
Your first conversation is on us.
Each registered attendee will receive one hosted beverage courtesy of Gamma Community.
Who this is for
This hosted event is especially useful for:
founders, consultants, operators, strategists, marketers, creatives, program leads, community builders, and anyone whose work regularly requires turning a lot of moving pieces into something other people can understand and act on.
You do not need to be a Gamma power user.
Curiosity + a real problem are enough.
(pinky promise)
About the host
Whitney Gaffari is the founder of Brown Girl Theory, a business physics consulting studio focused on the invisible mechanics that shape how work moves: decisions, systems, relationships, rhythms, and meaning.
She’ll facilitate the session as a Gamma Community Host, using The Meaning Layer as a practical framework for helping participants turn complexity into clarity and clarity into movement.
