Christian Follmann

Christian Follmann is part of the senior management team at Hercules Capital, Inc. (NYSE: HTGC) where he is responsible for the firm’s operations and strategic projects. Hercules Capital is the leading and largest specialty finance company focused on providing senior secured venture growth loans to high-growth, innovative venture capital-backed companies in a broad variety of technology, life sciences and sustainable and renewable technology industries.

Christian has been with Hercules Capital in a variety of roles since 2007 when he graduated with a B.Sc. in International Business from Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Christian also received a degree in business from Reutlingen University in Germany.

Tarin Payne, SPHR

Tarin Payne is a seasoned HR Manager of Talent Acquisition for University Relations & Diversity Recruiting at Silicon Valley Bank. Tarin is incredibly passionate about building mindful, bold and intentional diversity and inclusion solutions and programs. Through partnerships with senior leaders, she builds relationships and diverse candidate pipelines to design and execute programs that enhance organizational, community and university relationships.

In addition to these initiatives, Tarin also serves as an adjunct professor for Golden Gate University for undergraduate and graduate students in HR courses - including “Strategic HR Management” and “Selection, Recruiting and On-boarding”.

Denkenesh Dobbins

Denkenesh Dobbins is a HBCUvc Class 2 Fellow and holds a PharmD and MBA from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Denkenesh is currently an Associate at Silicon Valley Bank, supporting the Global Fund Banking (GFB) team. Her work focuses on providing debt solutions to Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds. Prior to joining the GFB team Denkenesh rotated through the Associate Development Program (ADP) and provided support to various teams across the bank including Private Bank, Frontier Tech, Life Science (Biopharma, Med Device, Health Tech), GFB, and Advisory West Wine.
