About Event

Join us for a scenic 12.4 km out-and-back adventure along the Cowichan Valley Trail. This section is well-maintained and perfect for a smooth, steady walk or hike. Expect forest scenery, open stretches of trail, and peaceful views as we make our way toward the Koksilah River. It’s a great route for movement, fresh air, and connecting with good people.

This trail is used by hikers, walkers, and cyclists, with a surface that varies from packed gravel to wooden boardwalks. Along the way, you’ll find wide paths, gentle terrain, and the classic Vancouver Island forest vibe.

Bears are occasionally spotted in the area, so bring bear spray if you have it.

The second half of the trail includes a gentle grade and a downhill stretch near the 6.3 km mark. Some intersections have bollards that narrow the path to about 1 meter.

Disclaimer

• While this is an easy trail, the distance is longer — those new to hiking should be prepared for a full 12+ km outing.
