Certain words hold a space that another language cannot fully enter.
Across 90 minutes, we'll read short texts built around words that resist translation, words for longing, for belonging, for the kind of moment that only exists for an instant, and write around them without ever trying to define them. No experience in writing required. Just curiosity, and a love for words.
What to expect:
A live 90-minute session over Zoom (link sent after booking)
Short readings paired with guided writing prompts
A small group, held with care rather
Nothing you write will be shared unless you want it to be
You can write in the language you prefer

Your facilitator: Aïcha is a curator, cultural producer, and creative strategist working at the intersection of culture, community, and creative dialogue.
She created Words in Motion from a love of stories and a belief that the most meaningful experiences happen when people gather around them, in books, workshops, and the kind of spaces where culture becomes community. Running reading and writing workshops, in particular, has become one of her favorite parts of that work, the moment where a room full of strangers starts writing toward the same idea from entirely different places.
She holds degrees from the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics, but her first credentials were always curiosity, a love of reading and writing, and a belief in the power of stories to transform how we see our lives.
