Behind the scenes, every single day counts.
Looking back, we realise how quickly the days have passed. Reaching out to speakers, organising a six-month free bootcamp, while still holding our weekly and monthly community sessions—it has been a very hectic but rewarding journey.
And now, Naija Java User Group is turning ONE! 🎉
Our anniversary comes up on the last Saturday of this month, and it is more than just a celebration. It is a reminder of why we started and why we continue to do what we do.
It is a celebration of community development.
Over the past year, we have gone beyond just creating a space for developers to learn and connect. This year, we took another important step by working towards integrating universities into the community—giving students access to the exposure, knowledge, and experience they need even while they are still in school.
And this anniversary marks another important milestone: the completion of our six-month free bootcamp.
For six months, our bootcamp students have been learning, building, and putting their knowledge into practice. Now, they get to take the stage and demo the projects they have built as part of our anniversary celebration.
So, we are not just celebrating one year of Naija JUG. We are also celebrating the growth, effort, and achievements of the people who have been part of the journey.
And all of this happened in just one year.
A one-year-old can do this. ❤️
