​Late May and June are among the best times to be here. Expect mild to warm days (typically high teens to mid-20s °C / 60s–70s °F), cool mountain evenings, long daylight hours, and green landscapes before peak summer heat.

​The city is compact, green, and surprisingly international — yet feels undiscovered compared to traditional nomad hubs.

​Weekend Inspiration

​Throughout the month, the community may decide to explore ideas such as:

• ​Big Almaty Lake – ~1 hour from the city. Half-day to full-day alpine escape.

• ​Shymbulak & Medeu – ~30–40 minutes. Mountain air and panoramic views.

• ​Charyn Canyon – ~3–4 hours. Full-day or overnight desert canyon landscapes.

• ​Issyk Lake – ~1.5 hours. Scenic day trip into the mountains.

• ​Altyn-Emel National Park (Singing Dunes) – ~4–5 hours. Typically an overnight experience across vast steppe landscapes.

​Members may choose to coordinate plans or share transportation arrangements directly with one another. All bookings and logistics are handled independently. Participation is always optional.
