📌 Who Manages Your Database on Kubernetes? Running databases on Kubernetes involves more than deploying containers. How do we handle failures, scaling and ongoing database management?

In this session, we'll explore how Kubernetes Operators extend Kubernetes to automate database operations. We'll introduce Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), controllers, and reconciliation loops, followed by a practical demonstration of an Operator managing a database cluster.

Edith is a Kubernetes 1.32 Shadow Release Team member, UK Global Talent Visa Recipient, CNCF Ambassador, Docker Captain, WTM Ambassador and Ex 42 Silicon Valley alumnus. She actively contributes to open-source ecosystems and frequently speaks globally about Kubernetes, cloud-native tools, and database automation.
