Uncovering Algorithms: Conversations on the Impact of AI — AI, power, and global challenges

​What happens when AI intersects with power, politics, and the planet? This session will examine the wider global and political impacts of AI, from its role in shaping democratic processes and public discourse to its double-edged relationship with climate change.

​Drawing on themes from Uncovering Algorithms, we’ll also look at digital imperialism, including how the global spread of AI technologies often reinforces inequalities and sidelines Indigenous and marginalised communities.

​Hosted by Natalia Domagala, the format will be conversational, inviting participants to share insights, questions, and concerns in an inclusive space.
