βThings to Keep in Mind β οΈ
βStreet parking is available near the trailhead β we'll gather directly at the trail entrance π ΏοΈ
βThe Ohlone College route has more shade than the Stanford Avenue trail, but sun protection is still important βοΈ
βThis route has a gentler ascent but is slightly longer than the Stanford Avenue trail π
βThe event may be subject to change depending on weather conditions π¦οΈ
βLimited carpool spots available - we'll confirm availability after assessing volunteer drivers
βCarpooling guests can cover the cost of fuel β½
βAfter our hike, those interested can join us for our signature chai experience at a nearby spot. And who knows, we might even find some biryani to satisfy our post-hike cravings! π
βStill scrolling? You must be curious about who we are! π
βWe love biryani to the coreβno cap! π
βNot gonna lie, we feel a sense of emptiness in our lives if we don't have it at least once a week! It's our comfort foodβour go-to dish, our guilty pleasure, our culinary hug. π
βThe world may argue about mutton versus chicken, but for us, it doesn't really matter. ππ
βWe have another set of erogenous zones to feel the biryani. Our excitement hits different when we uncover the meat under layers of rice and masala. β¨
βAnd the next best thing after biryani? Hyderabadi Irani chai, obviously! We walk and walk for kms to find a good chai spotβgotta keep that chai game strong. β
βWe've carried this vibe from South India to the Bay Area. π
βAt first, we called it Night Walkers, but over time, as we became less hungry (and more chill), we settled on just "Walk and Chai." Slowly, it turned into "Hike and Chai." π₯Ύ
βHope you enjoyed our backstoryβit's a whole mood! π
βOnce in a while, we vibe over biryani post-hikes. You're all welcome to join the squad! π€
