About Event

As part of the Poverty Stoplight Innovation Week, this session explores how civic technology can advance transparency, accountability, and measurable social impact.

Featuring Oluseun Onigbinde, co-founder of BudgIT and a leading advocate for fiscal transparency, open governance, and citizen engagement across Africa, and Julia Corvalan, PhD, Global Operations Manager at Poverty Stoplight and an international development expert focused on scaling social technologies in vulnerable communities, the conversation will examine how digital tools can empower citizens, strengthen institutions, and support community-led change.

Together, the speakers will discuss what it takes to design civic tech that is inclusive, practical, and rooted in real-world impact — moving from data access to deeper participation, trust, and accountability.

This session will be held in English with simultaneous live Spanish translation.
