Building the Soil for INNOVATION: The Israeli Recipe
As part of the Global Tech Weekend Tbilisi, we are pleased to host a dedicated side event: “Building the Soil for Innovation: The Israeli Recipe”.
A delegation of leading Israeli innovation ecosystem builders will visit Georgia and hold a special discussion offering a practical look at the key elements behind Israel’s innovation model. The conversation will go beyond presenting individual success stories and focus on how innovation ecosystems are actually built — through universities that encourage entrepreneurship, AgTech communities that connect farmers with startups and investors, city-level innovation platforms, climate and desert-tech hubs, and inclusive initiatives that bring new communities into the tech sector.
Meet the Israeli delegation members:
Amnon Dekel – Executive Director of ASPER-HUJI Innovate, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Hebrew University Jerusalem
Dana Kedar – Executive Director at GrowingIL
Roy Munin – CEO, Made in JLM
Sivan Cohen Shachari – CEO, DeserTech and Climate Innovation Center
Maissa Ballout Shamshoum – CEO, Hasoub
This side event is designed for founders, students, academics, innovation hubs, investors, ecosystem builders, public-sector representatives and everyone interested in understanding how innovation environments are shaped in practice. It will offer an opportunity to engage directly with Israeli experts working across different parts of the innovation ecosystem and to explore ideas that may be relevant for Georgia’s growing tech and entrepreneurship landscape.
