Celebrate the first day of Summer by cleaning up the earth, and stretching in the grass, on this longest day of the year! 🌞🧘
Come for any or all of the event! 🌿
SCHEDULE:
🗑️10:30am CLEANUP: Does it sometimes feel like your individual actions won’t make a difference, when the world is burning? Well when a bunch of us feel like that, and we pool our efforts, we can do amazingly transformative things right in our neighborhood!!
Join like-minded folx to clean up the streets. We'll meet outside the Target @ 2101 Church Ave, and move west down Church Ave, cleaning as we go. Lily Too will be playing live music alongside us!
Trash bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided.
🧘 12pm YOGA: 60-min gentle yoga class on the grass on Buckingham Rd between Church Ave & Albemarle Rd.
After all that hard work beautifying the streets of Brooklyn, we'll reconvene beneath the shade of the trees, and bow to the sun in gratitude, marking its highest point in the sky all year.
Class will be ALL LEVELS. Suggestions will be offered for beginners & more experienced yoga practitioners. Invite friends, family, neighbors! ✨ Bring your own mat/towel & water bottle! Limited yoga props available - 1st come, 1st served
💸 Yoga class is $20 suggested donation. (Cash, Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle: 203-980-2523 accepted) Class is open to EVERYONE regardless of donation.
About Bailey's practice & teaching style: I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years, and received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from Kripalu in the Berkshires. I love sharing the benefits of yoga with the community by offering donation-based classes out in nature! I believe yoga is for EVERY BODY. My goal is to make class accessible for bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities.
