How to survive and thrive in a multi-cluster world
Over the last few years, we’ve seen a shift in how organizations operationalize their Kubernetes clusters. Instead of huge, monolithic production clusters, we’re seeing a marked shift to multicluster Kubernetes environments, using entire clusters to isolate development teams or manage workloads. The multicluster world can bring in dramatic wins for reliability and operational efficiency, but of course it has its challenges! In this talk, we’ll explore this fascinating world, from why the shift is happening, how to effectively use a service mesh and GitOps-style workflows to make multicluster secure, reliable, and observable, the pros and cons of multi-cloud rather than simple multicluster, and how new technologies like federated Services affect the multicluster world. Join us to learn how it all comes together!
Tilt for local Kubernetes microservices development
Local Kubernetes development for microservices can easily drift away from production, different manifests, different config paths, and "it works on my machine" surprises. In this talk, I will show how Tilt helps you run a real microservices stack on a local Kubernetes cluster while keeping the same Kubernetes resources and configuration model you use in production. Tilt watches your code, rebuilds and redeploys only what changed, and gives you a single place to see logs, status, and dependencies across services.

지난 몇 년간 조직들이 Kubernetes 클러스터를 운영하는 방식에는 큰 변화가 있었습니다. 거대한 단일 프로덕션 클러스터 대신, 개발 팀을 분리하거나 워크로드를 관리하기 위해 여러 개의 Kubernetes 클러스터를 사용하는 멀티 클러스터 환경으로 빠르게 이동하고 있습니다.
멀티 클러스터 환경은 신뢰성과 운영 효율성 측면에서 큰 이점을 제공하지만, 동시에 새로운 도전 과제도 가져옵니다. 이 세션에서는 왜 이러한 변화가 일어나고 있는지, 서비스 메시와 GitOps 스타일의 워크플로우를 활용해 멀티 클러스터 환경을 어떻게 더 안전하고, 신뢰할 수 있으며, 관측 가능하게 만들 수 있는지 살펴봅니다. 또한 단순한 멀티 클러스터와 멀티 클라우드의 장단점, 그리고 Federated Services 같은 새로운 기술이 멀티 클러스터 환경에 어떤 영향을 미치는지도 함께 다룹니다. 이 모든 요소들이 어떻게 하나로 연결되는지 함께 알아보세요!
로컬 Kubernetes 마이크로서비스 개발을 위한 Tilt
마이크로서비스를 위한 로컬 Kubernetes 개발은 종종 프로덕션 환경과 점점 멀어지기 쉽습니다. 매니페스트가 달라지고, 설정 경로가 달라지며, “내 컴퓨터에서는 잘 되는데요?” 같은 상황이 발생하곤 하죠.
이 세션에서는 Tilt를 활용해 프로덕션에서 사용하는 것과 동일한 Kubernetes 리소스와 설정 모델을 유지하면서, 로컬 Kubernetes 클러스터에서 실제 마이크로서비스 스택을 실행하는 방법을 소개합니다. Tilt는 코드 변경을 감지해 필요한 부분만 다시 빌드하고 배포하며, 여러 서비스의 로그, 상태, 의존성을 한 곳에서 확인할 수 있게 도와줍니다.
