Ministry of Peacemaking * What is your role in peacemaking? * Theatrical workshop
In this workshop we will tap into Indigenous cosmovison of the Andino region of South America. Artist and earthdefender Chihiro Geuzebroek will share a little exclusive taster of the speculative fiction theater production Ministry of Peacemaking inspired by an ancient prophecy of the eagle and the condor.
The prophecy is 2000 years old and states that humanity will break into separation. The Eagle and Condor prophecy says that around 1490 would begin a 500-year period during which the Eagle people would become so powerful that they would nearly drive the Condor people out of existence. But beginning in 1990, the potential would arise for the Eagle (Global North) and the Condor(Global South) to come together, fly in the same sky and create a path together of healing and peacemaking.
After the introduction with storytelling and songs to situate ourselves, we dive into a creative peacemaking exercise. It is your turn to embody Eagle or Condor challenges to become a peacemaker.
