Synopsis

A good story needs more than a good start; it needs an engaging build-up.

This session focuses on developing a compelling rising action that builds suspense and moves the story forward. Students will also learn how to use dialogue effectively to reveal character, create tension, and make their writing more realistic and engaging.

Students will learn to:
✔ Develop a clear and logical build-up
✔ Use dialogue to show emotions and relationships
✔ Avoid unnecessary or repetitive conversations
✔ Make their stories more vivid and natural

Through structured practice and model analysis, students will learn how to keep readers interested, a crucial skill for higher composition marks.
