Dean Robinson's Biography:
Dean Robison started his military career as an artillery officer in the 10th Marines, serving in Camp Lejeune, NC, Okinawa and as part of Operation Support Hope in the wake of the genocide in Rwanda in the summer of 1994. He separated from active duty as a gunnery instructor at the Field Artillery School in Fort Sill, OK.
Dean is now a seasoned enterprise software executive known for driving exceptional growth and operational excellence in the cloud computing industry. With a career spanning major enterprise software companies like Salesforce and ServiceNow, he has consistently surpassed growth, profit, and customer experience targets. At Salesforce, Dean led consulting, customer success and technical support teams, scaling from a handful of employees pre-IPO to thousands globally over 10 years. His last tour of duty while at Salesforce the first time, he led the acquisition integration team for multibillion-dollar deals, pivotal to Salesforce’s growth as the leading enterprise software company in the world.
After a brief interlude as a Chief Customer Officer at a small startup in Utah, Dean joined ServiceNow, overseeing global post-sales operations across Support, Services and Customer Success, helping that company grow from $2B to almost $8B in revenue over 6 years. In 2023, Dean returned “home” to Salesforce where he led Operations and Planning in the Office of the CEO for 2 years. He now leads the Office of the Chief Operating and Financial Officer, responsible for enterprise execution across the company’s operating cadence, portfolio governance, geo-expansion readiness, strategic engagements, and performance intelligence.
Dean is well-known in Silicon Valley for helping launch the employee resource groups for Veterans at Salesforce and ServiceNow, fostering career development and support for transitioning military personnel. Today, Vetforce has over 6,000 active members and Salesforce Military boasts over 90,000 members worldwide. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy where, as a distinguished graduate, he received the General Hommel Leadership Award reserved for the Top Marine of the graduating class. Mr. Robison resides in Gilroy, California on a 10-acre dairy goat farm with his wife of 32 years, Christi.
