About Our Guest:
W. David Woods is an Apollo historian, author, and researcher specializing in the technical and procedural details of NASA’s Apollo program. He has written several books, including the highly regarded How Apollo Flew to the Moon, and created and curates the Apollo Flight Journal, a NASA-hosted resource that documents each Apollo mission in detail.
Over a nearly 33-year career with BBC Scotland as a video editor across a wide range of productions, he has also contributed to documentaries, books, and films, and regularly delivers talks on the Apollo program. His work is driven by a long-standing interest in science and engineering, particularly astronomy, spaceflight, and lunar exploration, with a strong emphasis on the practical challenges of landing humans on the Moon.
