Yaupon Yap - Tasting and Foraging

​Welcome to Austin's first Yaupon Yap!

​Join this collaboration between ATX Outsiders and December Yaupon this locally-sourced version of a classic coffee chat.

​December Yaupon cofounder Ian McCluskey will take us on an interactive journey into Yaupon's past, and what it has to offer for people living today.

​We'll start with a tasting of December's (Regenerative Organic) Yaupon Nitro Cold Brew to get everyone energized for the trail. As we explore Bull Creek Preserve, we'll learn about the history of Yaupon and why there's so dang much of it in Texas. Finally, we'll do some foraging and Ian will share just how to cure, roast, grind and brew Yaupon at home for a cup of good local caffeine.
