Join us to discuss The Evolution of Knowledge: Rethinking Science for the Anthropocene with Wendi Yan
Wendi is an artist, writer and technologist. She uses CGI software to simulate alternative scientific progress through videos and games, and writes about the history and future of scientific discovery. She also directs the Research Revival Fund, an experimental fund restoring illegible research to active circulation, and was an inaugural Steve Jobs Archive Fellow.
The book "reframes the history of science and technology within a much broader history of knowledge, analyzing key episodes such as the evolution of writing, the emergence of science in the ancient world, the Scientific Revolution of early modernity, the globalization of knowledge, industrialization, and the profound transformations wrought by modern science."
