From Promise to Production: What It Takes to Bring Finance Onchain
Join us at 2pm in Workshop Room 3 for an intimate workshop.
Public blockchains give institutions what closed systems can’t: shared liquidity, interoperability and composability. But regulated finance can’t settle on infrastructure that exposes counterparties, balances and order intent to anyone watching. Today, institutions resolve that tension by retreating to private chains, giving up the benefits that make blockchain technology worth using in the first place.
Bringing that activity onto public blockchains requires settlement infrastructure designed to preserve confidentiality overtime. And, how data will need to remain protected against future advances in quantum computing. In this session, participants will learn what lasting confidentiality on a public blockchain requires, and how the Monad blockchain is uniquely positioned to solve for the future of onchain finance.
Public blockchains are fundamentally changing how financial markets operate, bringing money, assets, liquidity and settlement onto shared, programmable infrastructure. The opportunity? To create more open and fair financial markets, with broader access to liquidity, more competitive pricing and better outcomes for participants.
But the ambition goes beyond moving existing financial products onchain. It's about creating productive economies where assets can be traded, financed and put to work across connected markets. Getting there requires more than speed and efficiency. Institutions need security, operational resilience, confidentiality, fair and predictable execution, and regulatory clarity, without sacrificing the openness and connectivity that make public blockchains valuable.
Bringing together leaders across finance, technology and policy, this programme explores what it takes to bring financial services onchain and build the infrastructure for open, connected global markets.
