Virtual Workshop: Build a Data Agent in 60 Minutes

​LLMs writing SQL is old news. The real challenge is building the infrastructure around them: the tools, guardrails, memory, and visibility required to actually trust an agent.

​In this live 60-minute session, Jacob Matson is building a working data agent completely from scratch. You'll see the exact mechanics of a model-in-a-loop calling tools until it gets the right answer. We’ll wire up MCP tools for database access, write a 30-line agent loop, craft a rock-solid system prompt, and implement hard-coded, read-only guardrails (because just asking a model to behave isn't enough). We’ll also add telemetry so you can trace exactly what the agent saw, did, and spent.
