Although many researchers think AI is an existential risk, specific scenarios (threat models) vary. From Yudkowsky's fast takeoff and takeover to Kulveit's gradual disempowerment: there is a world to discover.
At the Existential Risk Observatory, we are working on the most comprehensive threat model overview to date, together with MIT FutureTech and FLI. We also work on threat model-dependent research and policy, including a taxonomy for international AI agreements. Hear all about it, then join us for the drinks!
