FGB Spring Break Writer's Retreat

​​By popular demand, the Writer’s Retreat is back! Join us for Spring Break: a cozy, two-day writing retreat for women and femmes in film. Hosted at the beautiful York Manor in Highland Park and generously supported by Meadow, this accessible, low-pressure retreat will be a great time to take a break and reset on your creative projects.

​​Polishing a feature script? Outlining a pilot? Journaling about your goals? Just brainstorming and researching? This retreat is for you!

​​Pricing:

​​There are full weekend passes and day passes available. Please reach out to [email protected] for a code if finances are a hurdle at all. We usually have flexible price ticketing on our events, but since capacity is limited for this special event and we need an accurate count, we need to discourage no-shows. Thank you for understanding and for your support!

​​What to Expect:

​​We'll have access to Meadow from 10am to 6pm each day on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday May 17. Each day will be relatively loose in structure, allowing for a lot of free writing time in the cozy space. We'll provide a firmer schedule closer to, but in the meantime, you can expect..

​​-Morning Rituals & Intention Setting each morning to get you in the flow

​​-Long, uninterrupted writing blocks with soft music and cozy corners

​​-Pastries, Snacks & Tea/Coffee (Lunch and dinner each day is BYO, or join an optional group order, in order to keep pricing accessible and flexible.)

​​-Small group share-outs to end the days and keep momentum

​​-Open Mic Script Share (Day 2) Read a few pages, share an idea, or simply listen as others share theirs.
