About the Session

This is a practical, no-fluff Networking Masterclass for job seekers who feel stuck despite applying, networking “a lot,” or having conversations that don’t lead anywhere — and want to start seeing real outcomes like referrals, interviews, and momentum.

This session is designed especially for immigrants, newcomers, early-career professionals, and career switchers who know networking matters — but don’t know how to do it strategically.

Networking today is not about sending random LinkedIn messages or asking for referrals too early. It’s about clarity, positioning, and relationship-building — and that’s exactly what we’ll focus on.

The core teaching will be delivered in under 70 minutes, followed by a 20-minute live Q&A.

2. Identifying the Right People to Network With

  • Why recruiters are not always the right starting point

  • Who to reach out to instead (and why it works better)

  • How to be intentional and strategic — not random — in your outreach

3. Building Relationships That Lead to Referrals

  • When (and how) to ask for referrals the right way

  • What makes people comfortable referring you

  • How to move from conversation → trust → advocacy

4. Outreach Strategy: LinkedIn vs Email

  • What a strong outreach message should look like

  • Cold LinkedIn message vs cold email — when to use each

  • Templates and structure that increase response rates

5. Networking Across Seniority Levels

  • How to approach senior professionals vs early-career professionals

  • Adjusting tone, intent, and expectations based on who you’re reaching out to

  • Avoiding outreach that feels transactional or misaligned

6. LinkedIn Visibility & Networking Hacks

  • How to increase your visibility to the right people

  • Simple LinkedIn actions that support your networking efforts

Live Q&A (20 Minutes)

We’ll wrap up with a live Q&A where you can ask questions about:
