About Event

We decode tech and market signals together, salon-style with a small, curated group - so you can operate, invest, and decide better.

AI can build a financial model, summarize an earnings call, or map a competitive landscape in seconds.

What it can't do is connect the dots around what's happening right now - a technology, a trend, a business, an idea, a decision. Or what a moment like that actually signals.

That takes human judgment, experience, and taste. The kind you only build by studying real examples, arguing them out loud, and testing your read against people who see it differently than you do.

That's what Tech x Market Decoders is for.

Every week, we pick one topic — a company or startup everyone's talking about, a technology reshaping an industry, or a shift in how things are being built or bought. Bring your laptop.

Here's how it works:

6 pm - check-in. We kick off at 6.15 pm.

15–20 minutes — decode solo. Quiet research time. Dig into the news, the product, the tech stack, the data. No talking, just thinking.

35–40 minutes — decode together. We open the floor. What did you find? Where do you disagree? What's convincing, what's overhyped, what would change your mind? This is where judgment actually gets built — not from reading alone, but from testing your read against someone else's.

Last few minutes — wrap up.

You'll leave with a sharper read on the topic than you walked in with, and a few new perspectives you hadn't considered. That's the whole point.

This week's topic: Drone delivery gets regulatory approval - Now what?

DoorDash just became only the eighth company ever to earn FAA air-carrier certification for drones, joining Amazon, Walmart, and Alphabet's Wing in a race that's now more about economics than regulation. We're decoding whether drone delivery can actually scale profitably or whether the real bottleneck was never the FAA to begin with.

Come as you are — operator, investor, builder, or just someone who reads too much tech or business news and wants to discuss with smart people.

About Us

This event is organized by Innovest, a media-led intelligence platform at the intersection of tech and markets, built for operators, investors, and founders. Through newsletters, a growing library of business models, and events like this one, we're building the judgment, experience, and taste that no AI can replace — one pattern, one playbook, one signal at a time.
