Biografía de Jorge Luis Borges: Conversación en español en ISLAA

Friday, September 25, 2026
6:00 PM EDT
ISLAA, 142 Franklin Street, New York

With Mariano Llinás, Ernesto Montequín, and Ariel Aisiks
This conversation will be held in Spanish.

Join us at ISLAA for a conversation with Mariano Llinás, Ernesto Montequín, and Ariel Aisiks on Biografía de Jorge Luis Borges, Llinás’s new film, produced by Laura Citarella and El Pampero Cine, with the support of ISLAA.

The film traces the life of Jorge Luis Borges through the papers he left behind, the books he read, and the places he inhabited. Meticulously researched and audacious in form, Llinás approaches Borges not merely as a subject, but as a territory shaped by literature, memory, and cinema.

Together, Llinás, Montequín, and Aisiks will discuss the film’s research and creative process, its approach to Borges’s life and work, and the relationship between archives, literature, memory, and cinema.

Admission is free. Advance registration is required, and capacity is limited.
