Agentic AI Foundations: Build Your First Production Agent — Live
Most AI workshops are 90 minutes of slides and a pitch. This is a build session.
In 2 hours, you'll go from "I've read about agents" to a working agent you built yourself — and more importantly, you'll understand the architecture decisions behind it, so the next one doesn't depend on a tutorial.
What we'll cover, live:
The production agent architecture — the pattern that holds up when real users touch it, taught the way we teach it in our hackathons with Microsoft
Tool calling and orchestration — parallel vs. sequential vs. conditional, and when each one breaks
Failure modes — the stuff nobody demos on stage: tool errors, runaway loops, graceful degradation
Live build — we build an agent together, end to end, with a spec-driven workflow you can reuse on Monday
What you leave with:
A working agent and the full spec used to build it
The session recording and all materials
A reusable architecture checklist for your next build
Direct Q&A — bring your real use case
Who this is for:
Engineers, technical founders, and PMs who want a structured on-ramp into agentic AI. You don't need to be a machine learning expert. You do need to want to build, not spectate. If you can follow along in an editor, you're ready.
Who's teaching:
Allen Smith — Founder & Managing Partner at Musa Capital, builder of Musa Labs, a 16,000+ person technical operator community. Allen has run AI hackathons with Microsoft across the country, putting thousands of engineers through exactly this material. Stanford → NFL → Microsoft → now teaching operators how to ship agentic systems.
The fine print:
Live on Zoom. Recording included for all ticket holders, but the Q&A and live build are the point — show up if you can.
Capped room to keep Q&A real.
This session is the foundation layer of our six-week course, Agentic AI Systems in Production (Cohort 1 starts July 13, enrollment closes June 29). Foundations attendees get details at the end of the session — zero obligation, but if you're considering the cohort, this is the best $50 preview you'll get.
