THE PALETTE - Digital Twinning Hackathon
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.” – Alan Kay
This is the absolute worst way to let a high-schooler's artistic technology dreams fade away, so read with ambition.
Do you find yourself wanting to be immersed in the fast-paced world of technology?
(Ok I admit, stupid question, you probably do as ever-curious individual...)
But what if by combining that world of technology with a tad bit of artistic thinking, YOU could be contributing to solutions founders are currently solving(???)
THE PALETTE is giving you this opportunity; to get a taste of what the quickly growing digital twinning industry offers
Digital twin of the REDI statue (using Varjo)
During the course of two days (each being ~2.5h long), you and your team will...
Scout interesting monuments, buildings, or even people (like your own group) across the metropolitan area, and digitalize them with provided 3D scanning tools
Process the scans with computers, and tweak the render e.g. in Blender to add creative aspects to it (colors, additional environments, you name it!)
Face other teams in the final competition, to win LARGE prizes (e.g. 3D printing equipment, big gift cards etc :)
Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Helsinki
This event is done in collaboration with Prateek Singh (Founder of Finnadvance) and Jere Kettunen (Biofabrication Engineer)!
We will provide attendees with the equipment needed for digital twinning, however you will need to bring a personal laptop for processing.
The event will begin on the 6th of June 12:00 at Terkko Health Hub. We'll meet everybody at the main lobby.
Food and drinks will be on us, so don't worry about going hungry ;)
It is now up to you to decide if you're up to this challenge.
Go on then.
