Onboarding Across Learning & Development

​Onboarding is not just a Human Resources checkbox. It's how you turn a new hire into a productive employee, a new user into a retained customer, and a new client into a long term relationship. Whether you call it onboarding, enablement, or adoption, it is the same discipline, and it applies far beyond the traditional HR department.

​ATD Tulsa is bringing that discipline to the Tulsa Tech Week community with an interactive showcase. Four Learning and Development practitioners will demonstrate the tools and techniques they use to onboard people in their own organizations. Instead of a seated presentation, you circulate through four tables at your own pace, ask questions directly, and leave with ideas you can apply right away.

Simulations for onboarding, presented by Deborah Johnson, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Northeastern University.

​Whether you are a founder onboarding your first hire, a product owner thinking through user onboarding, or an HR or L&D professional looking for new tools, this event is built for you.

​Networking and light bites from 5:30pm-5:50pm. Then we'll introduce the team and hand out Onboarding BINGO cards for participants to fill up with tons of useful information as they walk the showcase.
