Translation, Tongue, and Trust: Who Carries a Voice Across Languages?

​Most "global AI" discussion assumes English is the implicit default and translation is a service. This session reverses the framing: DP23 (Universal Participation & Linguistic Interoperability) and DP21 (Multi-modal) are about whether the Meta-Layer is structurally hospitable to people who don't write or read in the dominant languages of model training. Participants work in pairs across language backgrounds to surface where today's stack quietly flattens voice, register, and accountability. The exercise names concrete cases where translation-as-convenience is in tension with property-as-architecture.
