Governing AI in the Age of Abundance: Promise, Policy, and Practice
Women in AI and Digital is delighted to invite you to an in person event at IESE Business School, Munich in collaboration with Women in Security and Privacy.
In this exclusive event, we explore what it really means to navigate innovation, policy, and decision-making in the age of AI-driven abundance. As advances in intelligent systems promise to lower costs, accelerate productivity, and reshape entire industries, a central question emerges: are we truly entering an era of abundance—or simply redefining scarcity in new ways? This session will unpack the opportunities and tensions created by rapid AI innovation, from scaling enterprise adoption to addressing governance, trust, and societal impact.
We would kick off the event with a keynote from Prof. Roberto Garcia from IESE on the topic “AI: Is the Age of Abundance Here?”, sharing an overview about the impact of AI on productivity in firms and the macroeconomy.
Building on this foundation, an expert panel featuring innovation and policy leaders from organizations such as Meta, SAP and Munich Re among others will bring real-world insights from the frontlines of innovation, policy, and regulation.
Together, we will explore how organizations are adopting AI at scale, the evolving role of policy and regulation in shaping responsible innovation, and the practical challenges of balancing speed with oversight. You will gain a clearer understanding of how technical possibilities, business strategy, and regulatory frameworks intersect—and what that means for the future of work, decision-making, and society.
This in-person event also offers a valuable opportunity to engage during our networking hour directly with experts, exchange perspectives, and connect with a community of professionals and enthusiasts shaping the next phase of AI.
