A Fireside Chat with Henrik Hyldahn, Group CEO of Marcura
World Maritime Day is coming up, and the maritime industry is busy in Singapore with tons of conferences. So what's a better way to celebrate than to talk about a major trend happening in maritime tech with someone at the forefront of it?
On Tuesday, 22 September, our Head of Platform, Evan Han, is sitting down with Henrik Hyldahn, Group CEO of Marcura and Motion Ventures LP, in a fireside chat about Consolidation in Maritime Tech.
And of course, as always, there will also be opportunities for networking and to speak with Henrik in person throughout the evening, too.
Marcura has been one of the most active acquirers of maritime tech businesses globally in recent years, helping drive a growing consolidation trend that continues to gain momentum. Henrik himself joined Marcura through its acquisition of ShipServ, the company he led, before stepping up to Marcura Group CEO in 2024.
As a result, he's in a particularly unique position to talk about consolidation in maritime tech, and to provide perspectives from both sides of a transaction, and on what it means for the people building, buying, and selling in it:
Founders will gain insight into how to best position their companies for strategic exit opportunities;
Corporates will hear how to assess potential acquisitions;
and investors will get more visibility on where the exit pathways in maritime tech actually are.
It's a rare opportunity to get the chance to hear from this vantage point, and we're very excited to bring this to the Motion Ventures ecosystem.
Event schedule:
6:30-7:30pm: Registration & networking with drinks & canapes
7:30-8:15pm: Fireside chat with Henrik
8:15-9:30pm: Networking with drinks & canapes continues
And we'll be live-streaming the event for those who won't be in Singapore. Just let us know, and we'll send you the link before the event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
