We are back for a new year's edition of saucy bacterial fun! This will be a special night-time edition to light up your winter with soul food, gut and brain stimulation, and amazing company! 🌶️🕺✨🤩

Plus, a special focus on how kimchi (and other fermented friends) helps keep your immune system strong!

Come join us for a fermentation workshop where we combine science, storytelling, and the magic of bacteria to nourish your gut, soul, and mind! 🧠✨

The evening workshop will focus on the art of making kimchi, how fermentation impacts your gut, health, and well-being, and some additional tasty surprises. Prepare for a mindset shift on how bacteria can help you, and how easy it is to cultivate at home! 💪🏾 Not to mention bonding with our amazing community... and of course make and taste the most delicious kimchi in Portugal. 🥬

Includes kimchi to take home, recipe, and apéritif to the beat 🎵 in a gorgeous culinary venue in Lapa, Lisbon. The fermentation workshop will involve plenty of time for getting your hands dirty and answering your fermentation science curiosities, followed by a kimchi-inspired apéro (disco social hour with like-minded creatives, entrepreneurs, and foodies). Limited group size to retain intimacy and foster high frequency chemistry! 16 persons max.

About Edible Chemistry:

We are Lisbon's first multidimensional fermentation and aliveness school, at the intersection of food, science, and sensuality. We unite people to transform from the inside out with happy bacteria. We see fermentation as the chemical process of transforming something raw and ordinary, into something extraordinary: alive, nutritionally rich, and even magical. 🧪🌶️✨

About your host, Lucy: Lucy picked up her taste for Kimchi whilst living in South Korea in 2016. With a Masters in chemistry, Lucy brought her fascination of catalysis (the art of speeding up reactions) together with her passion for food, and started her building her bacteria family and home fermentation lab in Lisbon in 2023.

Lucy leverages a decade of delivering transformations for diverse communities around the world: from Silicon Valley executives, to refugees of 30+ nationalities, to African governments. She is now reconnecting to her chemical roots and channelling that wisdom into how you can transform yourself from the inside out: through your gut. She is notorious for 'contaging' people with her passion for making delicious, healthy produce.. that is also alive!
