SportsTech @ Cal: Demo Day

​Welcome to the Berkeley's SportsTech Pitch Competition!

​Students will showcase the MVPs they’ve built this semester, followed by a mixer with light food and networking.

​​What is Sports Tech?

​​SportsTech is an experiential 'Challenge Lab' course in Berkeley's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (S.C.E.T).

​Students form startup teams and build MVPs throughout the semester. They go through ideation, validation, and prototyping —culminating in pitch day. The course includes 70+ students across 15 teams (top 6 present on demo day).

​The focus is both entrepreneurship and real-world skill building.

​​Pitch Day Context

​Top teams from pitch day advance to Collider Cup, Berkeley's premier student startup pitch competition. In recent years, SportsTech teams have placed 1st, 3rd, and 3rd. Alumni teams have gone on to programs like Y Combinator and Plug and Play.

​For the second year, we’re partnering with the athletic department to host this pre-pitch competition to select our top team to represent us in the Collider Cup.

​​Who should come?

​Anyone interested in supporting student builders and student-athletes. Capacity is limited to 120—RSVP only if you plan to attend.
