Building a Reliable Software Factory
Session
Building a Reliable Software Factory
24-Oct-2026, Saturday
10:00 - 11:00 AM IST
Applied AI Club is an invite-only community for Builders and Operators.
Getting a coding agent to write one feature is easy now. Getting it to ship the tenth feature without breaking the first nine is not. Agents drift from the spec, skip the tests, and report success on work that doesn't run. A software factory is the setup around the agent that catches this: specs going in, checks at every station, and a human only where judgment is needed.
In this session Bala walks through the factory he runs for his own products: how work enters, how agents pick it up, what gets checked before anything merges, and where it still breaks.
Session Agenda
What a software factory is, and why one good agent run isn't one
Where agent-built software fails: drift, fake passes, and silent regressions
The stations: specs, harness, tests and evals, review gates
Live: a feature going from ticket to merged PR through the factory
Note that this session is theoretical and we will not show case any working use cases.
Who is speaking?
