Canada × Africa: The Future of Cross-Border Payments

​Chimoney, one of the first Canadian companies to hold a Payment Service Provider registration under the Bank of Canada's Retail Payment Activities Act, is announcing a major strategic transaction with CapitalSage Holdings, a multinational group operating across Africa, the UAE, and the UK.

​Abiola Bawuah — Group CEO, CapitalSage Holdings. Former CEO of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Africa, where she oversaw banking operations across 20 African countries. Over 25 years of experience in financial services across Standard Chartered, Zenith Bank, and CAL Bank.

​Uchi Uchibeke — Founder & CEO, Chimoney. Built one of the first PSP-registered cross-border payment platforms in Canada. Former software engineer at IBM, RBC, Shopify, and SecureKey. Co-inventor of blockchain digital identity infrastructure (IEEE paper, US/Canadian patent).
