8-Bit MakerLabs

​Do you like Mario? Do you like Pacman? Do you like Pong? No? Well too bad, this week’s MakerLabs throws you into the deep well of video game design with a simple 8-bit game design miniathon (mini hackathon)

​Like always, anyone is free to join, of all levels. No max capacity this time. Join up as a team and build the coolest and most unique game, winner gets to keep their project!

​Provided on everyone's table will be: an ESP32 C6, 8x8 LED Matrix, 2x Buttons (more controls on request) and snake game pre programmed

​Modify the classic snake or go wild with your limited resources.

​We will learn the industry standard of VS code with GitHub combo, throw in some AI and your halfway through a comp sci degree. If that’s too much or you have a distaste for AI, we will guide you through using the simple Arduino IDE as well.
