Miro × n8n hackathon: From diagram to automation
Join Miro and n8n for a fast-paced, hands-on hackathon where your best-ignored ideas finally get built. In a few hours, teams go from structured thinking to working automation with the output writing itself back to the board.
Challenge Overview
Come with an existing team, or team-up onsite
Bring a stalled work project, under-resourced idea, or deprioritized workflow that needs improvement
Use Miro to map, align, and design your automation as a visual workflow
Use AI and MCP to build that diagram into a full n8n automation connecting services, triggering actions, and moving data
Have your automation write back to Miro: populating sticky notes, updating boards, or reacting to board activity
Walk away with a working prototype or clear, demonstrable progress
What You'll Do
Design in Miro
Map out your workflow as a diagram. Define the problem, the trigger points, the steps, and the output. Your Miro board is your blueprint and your pitch.
Build in n8n
Turn that diagram into a real automation. Connect the nodes, wire up the services, and make the logic run.
Output back to Miro
Close the loop. Have your n8n workflow write results directly back to your Miro board populating sticky notes, updating cards, or firing actions based on what's happening on the board.
Requirements
Team of four: Must have at least four members on your team to qualify for judging
2.5 min demo: Pitch your problem, walk through your automation, show the Miro output
Miro board : Share your workflow diagram, process map, and final layout
n8n workflow: Exported or shared, showing your automation logic
You'll pitch live to judges. Three teams will walk away the winners receiving standout prizes.
